Very nice mini series. Refreshing to watch LGTBI themed productions that also tell a good story.
The first part was great. A good tone, great acting, sets, music and a story that run away from clichés. Though I deducted a star due to this part, because so much happened here that it felt too rushed in an hour. We barely got to see Michael and Thomas together and I felt that took away from the moments in which they were apart and we were supposed to feel for them.
The second part was great too, though personally I didn't like Steve's character very much. I found him too self righteous, mostly taking into account his own situation. I prefer live stories between two equals and here it felt almost like the preach and the sinner. And also I felt badly because Flora found no redemption, saying that she destroyed Michael's and Thomas's lives. Poor woman. I think she was a victim and a very understanding one. We should remember that Michael didn't run away with Thomas to France because of pure chance and not because of her.
Last, as a gay man, my self esteem has come out badly hurt after this second part of the series. My furniture and bones have survived my casual encounters. After watching this I guess I'm just not fiery enough :)
