Bad movie in my opinion. The two main characters do an extreme 180. I mean it is believable that the mother goes insane. But why at the same time does the son immediately turn normal and completely sensible after being an annoying psycho kid in the beginning? Add to that some usual cheap horror cliches, like gratuitous flickering lights, creaking and the mother turning into some sort of Pazuzu from The Exorcist with the pitched down/distorted demonic voice and in looks. Along with the ending that the movie itself spoils with the Babadook book this movie is rather boring, frustrating and mostly lame sadly.
