Done with it. If I would like to watch series about the politics, I would choose to watch them by myself. Stop pushing politics into other kinds of shows.
This show is called "Criminal Minds", so deal with it. Unless you write the head, the director, the whatever that have the authority to investigate the team, to be your "criminal", you simply have to pay all the attention in the story to the criminals. To be honest, I was relieved when Strauss was finished. Then this episode, another upper politic character showed up again. I was about to vomit. I also wonder who these disgusting people climbed up to these high ranks, especially having the authority to single-handedly determine the fate of the unit. If you say that they have "strings", then they should not even have to bother interrogating anyone in the unit and would have full power to do anything they want already, not somewhere in the middle and annoyingly show up and take up the time in the show.
