When any book to film adaptation declares itself as "based upon" it immediately signals ABORT. I wasn't disappointed.

The series proceeds stupidly downhill from the callous irresponsible actions of Alex. The charcter shuffles between "I'm a good mother.." to .. " I'm sorry" and a free car.."I'm sorry..". A great place to live "I'm sorry". Imagine if those roles were reversed colors...
