Full confession, I worked as a Park Ranger in 2012 for Rocky Mountain National Park. I remember when this "accident" occurred, because the park reports all incidents the next day. As someone who's hike the Deer Mountain Trail many times, I couldn't believe someone fell there. The trail is not exposed at all, seemed very odd at the time.
