a Simple Yet Cheesy Family Picture
27 January 2022
I first watch this movie back when it was on the Disney Channel in the late 90's and looking back on it now as well renting it at Blockbuster, it's definitely a simple yet cheesy family movie. First thing to know that I've only seen this edited version of this movie on videocassette and they even cut out some scenes like when Mr. Big. Sends a guilty dinosaur citizen into a fire pit as his or her punishment and despite this scene being to dark for kids and family audiences her in America compared to the scenes from the Black Cauldron (1985), the story is kinda decent to okay which is kinda similar to Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and has that "Trapped in Another World" plotline like for example "Land of the Lost". The characters are okay to decent to stereotypical at first, plus there's plenty of sex jokes (since they weren't meant for children under 12 or something) and a few pop culture references (i.e. The Flintstones and Casablanca) throughout this movie and despite this probably takes place on a Saturday and the sets look very good to yet decent, plus this movie is not yet on DVD yet but it's available to see on YouTube and despite this being an okay to yet cheesy family film that everyone would see only once.
