A really good episode for sure, I thought it was quite funny how everything the Simpsons had to give up in order to save the dog would have been very helpful for them had they continued with their usual spending habits. I liked the reunion with Santa's Little Helper at the end that was good and how Mr Burns used him as an attack dog, definitely a classic era episode though not the best, nor the worst, it was really good.
