A magical bag of laughter, cringe and home-grown reality
6 February 2022
I stumbled across this series on a flight to QLD (thanks Virgin). I only knew Sam Cotton (Ben) as a creative cartoonist, doing some really clever and entertaining stuff on insta etc. Anyway, I was intrigued to see him as an actor in Diary of an Uber Driver. I was hooked from the outset. The concept is great, the characters portrayed are realistic and some scenarios that unfold in front of Ben (the driver) are awkward, amusing, entertaining, tearful and memorable. Everything about this series revolves around relationships; those that are toxic, those that are rewarding and those that are no longer within reach.

The series is simply great and makes me proud to be an Aussie. I hope this becomes a bit of a fringe-cult series. Well done team!
