Not everyone can relate to Godard, but I'm betting that David Lynch certainly can. This film is the closest thing to Eraserhead that I know of. It's definitely more overt in some ways, but nonetheless it's very much like Eraserhead, only 10 years earlier. This is a very good film, and I'll definitely be watching it at least one more time. It's worth it. Some people will hate this film, just as many people cannot understand and don't like Eraserhead. It's their loss. Films like this can change your entire perspective of life and death and truth. As another recent reviewer on here basically said, this film is as relevant today as it was the day it was made. I couldn't agree more with that statement. 8/10.
