Harrison Ford is the official star of this movie. While he has his usual great presence and does his usual superb acting job the real star of the film is Rachel McAdams. McAdams does a great job in this film alternating between perkiness, anger, sadness and joy.

The movie is about the new producer of the Daybreak television morning show who is Becky Fuller played by McAdams and her attempts to save the show from cancellation. Ford and the great Diane Keaton play the two co-hosts of the show.as respectively Mike Pomeroy and Colleen Peck. Patrick Wilson also does a great job as McAdams' boyfriend Adam Bennett.
The key to the movie is the superb interaction between the McAdams character and the Ford character. I have seen most of Ford's movies and I am not sure if I've ever seen such chemistry between Ford and his female co-hosts as in this movie with the possible exception of Carrie Fisher in Empire Strikes Back.
I felt the movie was able to let you understand and feel the character's emotions while not sacrificing the comedy. The dialogue and excellent. I'm not sure what else could you need in a movie of this type. It's a fabulous movie.
