Not bad sci-fi, not bad at all!

Warning: Spoilers
For me as a hard sci-fi fan, "Human Is" is a rare gem of a dark and gritty genre short film that has great futuristic set designs and a story with twists and turns in an unfolding psychological drama, with the two main characters brilliantly played by Brian Cranston and Essie Davis, touching profounder themes along the way (what are exclusively human characteristics and how well can those be imitated by malevolent forces?; or how the longing for illicit excitement can lead to neglect of one's duties and responsibilities endangering national security).

What I regret story wise is the unnecessarily long and edgy brothel scene and the fact that the threat posed by Silas' change was not more fully explored.

All in all, great sci-fi and a tense story of suspicion, desire and deceit.
