This show checks so many boxes (idea, casting, locale, producer pedigree) that even the bad episodes are pretty good. Problem is, there have been a LOT of bad episodes since Season 1. This is the first episode in a long time that captures the zing of that first year and provides hope that the writing may yet return to the old standard.
