Those familiar with the Dizzy Mega Corporation . . .

Warning: Spoilers
. . . product line well know that most of Dizzy's female characters always have been witches. There's one in SNOW WHITE, another in SLEEPING BEAUTY and a third in TANGLED. I seem to remember witches in FROZEN, BEAUTY AND THE BEAST plus PETER PAN--it's difficult to keep them all straight. However, TRICK OR TREAT's Hazel may be the scruffiest of the lot. This horrid hag can curdle milk with a side glance, and make babes in toy-land die in their cradles. Hazel is homely in the same sense that Hamlet is troubled. She epitomizes ugliness. Only bachelor dudes and unhappy hen-pecked hubbies could depict her in such a vile, demeaning manner. Whereas B. Burke's Good Witch of Oz is a raving beauty, Hazel is simply a raving abomination. Leave it to the misogynistic Dizzy doodlers to steer countless thousands--or perhaps millions--of young lads off the tried and true path to happy matrimony with a member of the fair sex by foisting Hazel upon America's youth.
