Exciting thriller with Mario Casas giving a terrific acting as a timid and good-tempered guy

2019, Barcelona , a good-natured man called Dani (Mario Casas) suffers after sudden dying his aging father . The shy , introverted young man works as a seller in a travel agency in which he's a hard-working clerk . Later on , he meets a mysterious and troublesome woman (Milena Smit). Things go wrong , when the good-looking youngster has an unexpected deadly confrontation , resulting in his quiet life takes a dramatic change . Instincts kick in to clean up the unrest caused in the name of self-defense but does one actually escape free after commit a crime ?

No Matarás or Cross The Line is an anguished , frenetic, nail-biting and for moments violent film that supposes a change of record for the known actor Mario Casas in which he plays a good-mannered , friendly and fine young plunged into a spiral of death and bad decisions . He deservedly won 2021 Goya Award and Feroz prize . Milena Smit appears next to Mario Casas as the free-spirit , disconcerting girl named Mila who gets into trouble , and whose interpretation was worthwhile the Goya nomination and subsequent Pedro Almodovar's call to perform Madres paralelas or Parallel Mothers (2021) . Furthermore , Elisabeth Larena as his understanding and good sister Laura and Fernando Valdivielso as the bully and violent Mila's boyfriend.

It displays a sensitive and rousing , at times, musical score from composers Adrian Foulkes and Federico Jusid , adding catching songs . As well as colorful cinematography from Barcelona by cameraman Elias Felix . In addition to directing this No matarás (2020) , Catalan director, David Victori writes what he conceived as an absolutely sensory work . He explains the following : ¨I wanted the viewer's experience to be very active, this is the cinema that I like, the one that makes you participate in what is happening, during the filming there was an obsession to get into the skin of the protagonist and share his five senses¨. This slow-burn thriller with suspenseful and dramatic events was professionally directed by David Victory . This craftsman David Victori is a young filmmaker who was World Winner of the YouTube's Film Festival . He was selected by Variety and ScreenDaily as one of the directors to watch in the coming years . Represented by CAA. Writer of the Spanish Films "Second Origin" (2015) and " Son of Cain" (2013). Director and Writer of award-winning short films worldwide , including "Reaction" (2008) "The Guilt" (2010) , "Zero" (2015) produced by Ridley Scott and Michael Fassbender and director of a PrimeTime TV Show "Flatline" (2017). Rating : 7/10 . Essential and indispensable seeing for Mario Casas fans . Well worth watching .
