You have to buy into the sweet, silly, innocent misunderstandings. And what old fashioned, black and white comedy film doesn't have frank morgan?? The wizard! The whole film is tongue in cheek. With some amazing actors who were still great.. clark gable and loretta young. When the conference of mayors meets in san francisco, it's one misunderstanding after another. Old fashioned mayor steve wasn't expecting a female mayor clarissa to take the conference so seriously. Some fun running gags... they keep getting accidentally arrested. And clarissa keeps putting her foot in her mouth, trying to be prim and proper. When the conference is over, the misunderstandings keep happening! It's fun all around.
