Queen of the Amazons (1946)

"It's too late. The natives are rising already"

There is an awful lot of stock footage in this film, some of it is quite pleasant to look at of course portraying India and Africa, but that leaves less time for the actual plot which is a woman Jean Preston going into the jungle to look for her fiance Greg Jones, accompanied by the latter's father, an eccentric professor, a cook Gabby who is obviously the villain (he quotes poetry) and a guide Gary Lambert who doesn't like woman on safaris. They eventually encounter Zita, the Queen of the Amazons. In the end Jean marries Gary and Greg marries Zita and Gabby gets shot with a poison dart from an Amazon's blowpipe. All in all not that exciting.
