As someone who knows little to nothing about Norma Jeane I enjoyed this movie. I would compare it in tone to movies like Last Night in Soho and Killing of a Sacred Deer. It was dark and did not have many happy moments whatsoever. Ana De Armas and all of the actors in the film give amazing performances. I felt like the movie captured the time that it took place in very well. My biggest gripe is that the movie didn't try to show any of the positive aspects that may have existed in Norma Jeans life. I also felt that for a nearly three hour long movie the ending did feel a little bit rushed. I give it a 7.5/10 and look forward to more of this directors work.
