Entertaining and visually phenomenal...

Of course there was no doubt about whether I had to sit down and watch "Ming Yat Zin Gei" (aka "Warriors of Future") or not, as the movie was readily available on Netflix. I am a big fan of Asian cinema, and in particular Hong Kong cinema, so of course I had to watch this movie.

Now, as for the movie's English title, well it was corny. I mean, "Warriors of Future" just have that particularly bad Asian English feel to it, doesn't it? Shouldn't it have been something more like "Warriors of the Future" or even "Future Warriors", if anything? But hey, look past the movie's subpar English title, because this movie is definitely worth your time and effort.

Writers Ho-Leung Lau, Chi-Leung Law and Tin Shu Mak put together an entertaining storyline and script here. Sure, the storyline wasn't exactly rocket science, nor was it something that revolutionized the action sci-fi genre. But the storyline did what it was supposed to do; and that was to bring entertainment to the audience. And "Ming Yat Zin Gei" was definitely entertaining.

While the script might border on being somewhat generic, then it was more than made up for with a bombardment of amazing special effects. The CGI and special effects in "Ming Yat Zin Gei" was just spectacular, and it definitely was something to stand up some of the grand Hollywood CGI-fests of movies. So thumbs up to the CGI team that worked on this movie.

And "Ming Yat Zin Gei" definitely also had a good cast ensemble, with the likes of Louis Koo and Ching Wan Lau in the leading roles, and having the likes of Carina Lau and Philip Keung on the cast list as well. So if you enjoy Hong Kong cinema, you definitely have some established performers in this movie.

I will go as far as to saying that "Ming Yat Zin Gei" is without a doubt one of the more enjoyable and satisfying of Hong Kong movies in quite some time. And believe you me when I say that this movie is definitely worth spending 112 minutes on watching. I was genuinely entertained and impressed with director Yuen Fai Ng's 2022 movie.

My rating of "Ming Yat Zin Gei" lands on a well-deserved seven out of ten stars.
