A crime well planned for ten years is busted by a dog
7 January 2023
A brutal crime introduces this film, then there is a slow and careful development as the agents try to sort out what unfortunately seems to be the perfect crime, and as the investigation goes on it gets worse and worse. Gradually they realise it has had to be an inside job, but they are still all at sea until the children and a dog (unconsciously) help them out. Then the real thriller begins.

The acting is superb, I always enjoyed Rutger Hauer's films, and Paulina Porizkova brings some refreshing class into the film, although you will have to wait for her first smile. They match each other perfectly, and the part played by the children is in some ways the most important one, especially the daughter played by Sarah Ashley, a most impressive child character. The script is very intelligent and gets more intelligent the more it develops, and both the audience and the detectives are in for some surprises, beneficial but unpleasant. It's a great film on a small scale and fully rewarding, especially for no nonsense audiences.
