It isnt bad but I found the characters too one dimensional and everyone was childish including the adults. Obviously the main characters are children so thats to be expected from them but the adults were infuriatingly idiotic. Now that said, most of the focus was on the kids and still the show feels flat.
The big problem with this show is pacing. Though it has many of the elements one might enjoy with kids shows, like adventure and growth, its so slow that I found myself bored 90% of season 1. The dialogs just arent very interesting and there is very little to no comic relief and much of the plot was simply too predictable.
All that said, the acting was fine and the sets were pretty well made. So in terms of show quality, they did a nice job but the story was not interesting and character development fell flat. By the end of season 1, I actually didnt like the protagonist (the girl) at all. She came off as entitled. The show would have been far more interesting if it focused on her dad. At least he earned it even though he is sort of a dbag.
Im sure there will be folks who like this. Id say its fine for young teens and over. If you like Harry Potter, them you might like this. But its not for me. I wont be watching season 2 or 3.
