This movie is about 2 hours too long. Perhaps it would have been an interesting short, but it fails in this longer form. The dialog is trite and unconvincing, the acting is sub par at best, and the production values do not do a period piece like this, justice. There isn't really much to recommend about this movie. I agree with another review that pointed out the simple fact that the production really didn't have enough financing to pull off. They didn't have enough time to really work on the story line. They didn't have enough money for wardrobe and scenery to accurately depict WWII Iowa. And they obviously could not afford enough extras to build an authentic POW camp.
