Once again the adversary is slain by a lovely lovely American missile. Be it a giant space rock, an alien thingy, an enormous lobster, or, in this case a rock monster from underground pissed-off about the way we're treating the planet.
Effects are better than the worst we've seen, obviously not up there with best.
Awful scene where granddad and daughter are climbing a step ladder to get out - scene is 46.3 hours long, but (phew!) they manage it finally. I wasn't so lucky. Though did enjoy the clevage availability.
