Unpacking the Mystery of a Triptych Series - Don't Miss It!
2 March 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Triptych, a Mexican Netflix thriller, is apparently based on a true story, though no one knows which one. The closest parallel appears to be the story of three triplets who were separated at birth and later reunited, as documented in the documentary Three Identical Strangers, but this isn't a documentary. It makes use of the allure of a distinctly strange premise with a compelling grain of truth as the foundation for a fairly decent, if fairly standard, eight-part thriller web series.

Whatever was true about the story in the first place gets lost in the genre conventions, with Triptych more resembling Orphan Black than anything else.

The gripping story of triplets Aleida, Tamara, and Rebecca is told in Triptych. Their biological mother, Dr. Bátiz, separates them from each other a few months after their birth. They are distributed to various groups of parents in order for Dr. Bátiz to conduct an experiment.

Dont Miss the entire video.
