If you want to know why this movie is bad, just google "why faith (Christian) movies suck." The first thing you will notice is just how many hits you get with that inquiry. It's interesting to note that many of the articles about how really bad these movies are, are in fact written by very religious individuals. However, if you want the short version here it is: Christian movies are not made by artists but by people with a message. Dialogue, art direction, and photography all take a distant second to the message. Sentimentalism, lack of nuanced characters, endless platitudes, and total focus on the message, bludgeon the viewer with endless and stilted propaganda. This is not the recipe for a good story.
