Sharpay Evans (Ashley Tisdale) is a diva in her hometown. Discovered by a talent scout while performing at a charity event, she now has the chance to star in a Broadway musical. Pursuing her dream, she moves to New York but soon realizes that not everything will be the bed of roses she imagined. She starts living in a small apartment, where there is a built-in bed, and still has to compete for the role with an arrogant star. Who helps her overcome her problems is Peyton (Austin Butler), a film student who is her new neighbor.
