The discussion around trans acceptance is very important currently. With laws aimed at outlawing mental health care (the most important aspect of Trans-affirmative care in my opinion as a straight, cis, woman, which admittedly means very little given the topic).
The fact of the matter is Trans individuals are at a much higher risk for assault and murder than other members of the population.
They also suffer greatly from family not accepting them.
