Film is beautifully shot. Great scene composition, great use of lighting. The plot on the other hand, leaves much to be desired. The movie is a slow burn that never really develops into a full fire. Solid acting, strong dialogue, nice use of jump cuts. I kept waiting for something to happen, and nothing really did. The antagonist wasn't a very satisfying character, and neither was the protagonist. I didn't feel much of a draw to any of the film's characters. The stakes of the film felt very low despite the severity of what the main plot was about. Maybe I went in with the wrong expectations. I was expecting more of a horror and this was more of a mystery/crime film.6/10. Slow burn that never really goes anywhere.
