5/10
A missed opportunity.

This film had all the qualities to be great; excellent cinematography, a great score, and spot-on performances by all. And the first act set up a great introduction to the characters and narrative. But in the second act, the slow pacing caught up with the lack of any real suspense or tension as the story progressed, and I started to lose interest. By the third act, it all went downhill fast as the film became more of a bland coming of age story, instead of progressing and building on the suspense the narrative was leading up to. It's like the third act was lazily written by a fifth grade drama class. You'd think something grand would happen as the film progresses within its poorly paced 104 min runtime, but it just runs out of steam, gets boring, and by the end you've wasted the entire runtime with the most boring third act you could imagine.
