Now I love the Bridgerton series - the music, the costumes, the colour and the personal growth the character's undertake, the surprises and the complex relationships but it is all fairly light and surface level Not so Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story which I found it quite disturbing and even traumatic at times (especially as I have worked in Mental Health areas for decades) but 1000 % magical. Left me breathless and captivated so many times, on the entire roller coaster of emotions from loving them as a couple to wanting to go behead a certain Doctor myself. Let's be thankful he is dead...... well for 100s of years ha ha ha
I could not take my eyes off Corey Mylchreest - just WOW - captivating from the first scene he was in. India Amarteifio was also wonderful, picking all the nuances of the older Queen actor, Golda Rosheuvel to perfection.
The Queen has always been my favourite Bridgerton character but my understanding of her has grown exponentially. Thank you to all involved. I usually struggle to full the newer IMDB word limit but this one was easy - so much to compliment!
