IF YOU DON'T 'GET' BRIT FILMS, DON'T...
14 May 2023
Unless you like British films, with actors who have London accents, you will not like this film. You have to get Brit, especially Londoners' accents first; how the "posh" Brits still won't say their 'Rs' and 'Cockneys'' don't say their 'Hs', for example. Then you have to understand the horror a Military veteran faces while in theater and then when they come home. It doesn't matter if it's the US Army, USAF or the SAS... they are all siblings who have shared the trauma of war and combat. This creates such a strong bond, that surpasses ethnic and national lines that those of us who were not able to serve cannot fully comprehend. With these things in mind if you can fully appreciate that while this is a low budget picture, it has so many redeeming qualities and so many excellent actors it is well worth watching. (Kudos to Mr. Majors and Mr. Trejo, et al, for still working past 77, while I'm in forced retirement at 62, by the way!!!)
