I have to say that one of my pet hates is films which are based on stage plays but which no concession to the fact that it is a film which is supposed to be shown in cinemas. Though in this case it was not shown in cinemas. Either the exhibitors or the distributors British Lion Columbia showed little faith in its commercial possibilities.
I love in the United Kingdom so should be able to understand the dialogue. Thoigh to me it was almost pure gibberish. I couldn't understand the majority of the dialogue,so I was stumped from the very beginning.
I can only assume that this achieved a release on DVD due to the name of director Brian Desmond Hurst.
