Jack Armstrong (Sam Page) is taking his teen daughter Miki and young son Tyler to his late wife Lizzie (Amanda Schull)'s hometown for the summer. It's Lizzie's plan along with fixing the lighthouse. The grandparents want the kids. Jenna Fontaine (Sarah Drew) runs the local diner with her musician teenage son Liam.
It's Hallmark with heart. It's not the regular empty romances. It's a whole lot of family trauma. It's recovery from sadness. It's not a lot of drama except they manufactured something for the ending. They could have done more drama with the mean girl, but she doesn't get much screen time. It's a compelling watch and not the usual Hallmark background TV. In an aside, Madeline Grace Popovich is a fine actress and a pretty singer too.
