This was a biographical film about the band wham! But really it's about the relationship between two friends who go through some things together that are really hard to imagine. I like how it undertakes to examine the creation of the band, it worked in the early days and how it fell apart. I like how the subject is taken seriously, but not reverently. I also like the fact that while George Michael would continue to be a pop culture phenomenon, this film is really not about the entirety of his life - just about his time in the band. So it's a pleasant watch for a music fan or a fan of pop culture.
