After the first 2 Saints row games I went into the third with high hopes. My parents bought me a game magazine months before it's release and I was excited but then I played the game and I felt disappointed.
I've played it many more times after that when I was bored because there are few things that can be fun. However, the graphics and animations were bad. The story was dull after the first 10 missions.
And the main problem I have is that it makes a joke out of every single character. Especially The boss, Pierce and Gat. It made a joke out of the Saints and it was the beginning of the end for the Saints row franchise. The only character with an upgrade was shaundi. Plus all the side characters were terrible, at first glance they can be captivating but the more you delve in, the more dull they become.
It was never the most serious in it's original run but it still had heart felt and serious moments and they made the drama and comedy mix really well in the first 2 Saints row games.
It leaves a bad taste in my mouth still because it had so much potential.
