Review of Paris Paris

Paris Paris (2022– )
9/10
Humourous and light, but also humane and touching
4 October 2023
I would characterise this series as light, humourous entertainment, but behind that there is the weighty issue of how to feel connected in a society that seems to be on a different wavelength to yourself.

For the main character, his solution is to escape to a different world, a world of his kind of people. But that doesn't quite work ... A couple of times whilst watching this series I could hardly bear the strained and distant way the husband and wife related - it didn't seem realistic. Sadly, it probably is realistic - but hard to watch. Another factor is that Series one was filmed during COVID, so that explains why all the people at a party were spaced apart!

The characters in this series are likeable people, with all their flaws.

I'm looking forward to Series 2.
