I have been an avid Hallmark movie watcher for years and like many novelists the storyline can get very predictable. This movie differs. The two lead ladies Madeline Arthur (Ruby)and Julie Gonzalo share a chemistry of understanding and friendship while they are both from different eras. Madeline Arthur as Ruby is addictive. She is absolutely engaging as a woman with her own story during the roaring 20's. The movie is not routinely predictable and does not feel like your ordinary hometown hallmark movie. It feels a cut above the rest from the onset and not a movie you want to end. It is easy to see how it could have been made into a series. The 3 leads Julie Gonzalo, Chris McNally and Madeline Arthur worked seamlessly together to make something very special and award winning.
