Doug McKeon, Melissa Sue Anderson, Rocky Bauer did a very nice job with their characters in this movie! It's when you meet your first huge crush and the how all the awkwardness and innocence of that first encounter especially if the one is a bit older! This was originally a made for TV movie done in 1982, but it's a feel good movie for a lazy weekend afternoon that you can put on and not be afraid of any member of the family watching it! Thought it may be a bit dated, by today's standards, it's still a very wholesome and just nice movie that you can sit around the TV with and just enjoy and relive the memories!
