This was an episode of two halves or storylines for me,
I really liked the YOLO one involving Homer and his now grown up pen pal from Spain. I thought that had a nice heart to it and was well written and played out.
The school based plot not so much. It didn't really go anywhere and just felt like an excuse to use some of the school based secondary characters, who to be fair, all do have their moments.
Overall, this is not a bad episode by any stretch of the imagination, it just didn't gel together too well for me in terms of the two plotlines. It was still a darn sight better than other episodes though.
