Two Good Cases

During a stormy night, a man is removed from a channel with head injury and hypothermia. Sara goes to the hospital to process him and takes his backpack to look for an ID. However, she finds an armed bomb inside and the Bomb Squad is activated to take the bomb and detonate it. The CSIs try to find where the man felt in the channel to locate the target and Sara believes he is an Armenian terrorist. Meanwhile, Greg is sued for the imprisonment of the peeper Gus Ellis seven years ago. He was accused of raping and murdering the college student Claire Gibson based on his blood on a crowbar close to the victim. Defense Criminalist Jennifer Rhodes accuses Greg of planting evidence and now she will carry her independent investigation of the evidences. Russell assigns Finn to assist Jennifer in the review.

"Under a Cloud" is an episode of CSI with two good cases. Sara and the bomber demand lots of technical investigation from the scientists and is well-resolved in the end. Greg's case is more emotional and the viewer certainly feels sorry for the situation of Greg Sanders. The rookie officer responsible for the mistake is also reason for pity from the audience. My vote is eight.
