The real killer is the pretentious acting of the leading actress. I don't know if her acting is natural or required by the director, but her performance in this film really turned me off by her overly pretentiousness once her image starts to show on the screen.
The other boring factors are too many to count. A boring marriage to a lazy spiritless white Jewish husband, the boring marriage, its lifestyle, the helpless and hopeless relationship. Then again, the female character's random, aimless and ridiculous ambitions that keeps changing and replaced by her fickle decisions. She is such a boring adult woman, married to an boring adult husband, living a bore-to-death lifestyle. And then, alas, she meets her childhood sweetheart before her family migrating to America. We don't know if she would commit adultery or not, but we all privately hope so. But again, her renewed acquaintance with her old boyfriend is just another boring episode like all her hollow dreams, going nowhere and nothing really happens. So the whole movie is just like her pretentiousness, nothing happens. If you could watch this movie to the end, it only proves that you really have nothing to do on that day and your life is also quite boring.
