Barely watchable, and sometimes very uncomfortable to watch

The reasons:

The screenplay is so lame, full of filler-like unnecessary storylines, padded up with so many hollow dialogues that need the characters involved to deliver without any meaningful purpose. Furthermore, a coach is supposedly to coaching, but we didn't see any coaching in the movie but some slogan-like hollow words and constant time check clicking on watch.

The guy who's hired to do the post works for the soundtrack should be fired and never allowed to work again on any new movie. His choices of the scores to accommodate with the scenes are just so inappropriate and even annoying. I just wished that I could lower or even block the soundtrack and only keep the dialogues.

The directing is also very weak, but if the screenplay is too weak, G. C. simply could do anything to make it alive. The direction is almost nonexistent.

All the races showed in this movie are poorly shot, often random, messy and clueless. There's no thrill, excitement, or tension whatsoever. This movie is one of the worst about sports and competitions.

A sports movie without any energy but uninteresting filler scene after filler scene, further ruined by the inappropriate choices of the scores that tried so hard to make you believe the time frame is in the 30s' era.

The cast is also very bad. Rantz's good friend created in this movie is such annoying and unlikable character. He is so weak and always whining and complaining. I can't believe such a weak person could make to the rowing team. A very absurd and unrealistic add-on.
