First of all movie name need to be changed as just Alexander. I really don't see necessity of Fanny at all.
After that I could have given 7 or 8 for this movie, but it is way too long and has really unnecessary scenes.
Drama is good and it makes you wonder abut how will it go on about children's lives. Acting is also good in the movie that you really hate or like character.
Sets and costumes are really good chosen so scenes make you live the timeline as it is.
Because of these observations I got little bit confused, and gave six. If movie could got shorten I think it is a decent drama that you could watch.
