5/10
Italian Psycho
29 January 2024
Not your typical Bava film. The first thing I thought when I watched this was that it must have inspired American Psycho due to so many similarities with the main character being an unreliable narrator who murders women.

Stephen Forsyth plays the disturbed main character really well. Unfortunately for us, this was his last role, and he quit acting altogether.

Laura Betti is the nagging wife. It's a really unpleasant and one-dimensional role.

Dagmar Lassander is wonderful as the love interest for the killer. She isn't given much to do, but she excels with what she is given. I wish she had a bigger role here.

Even though this is one of Bava's lesser works, it's still worth seeing for his fans.
