An extremely messy and chaotic screenplay
9 February 2024
There are so many unnecessary supporting characters, especially so many clown-like female and male ones. The screenplay just jumped around with a lot of unnecessary and slow going sub-plots which seriously drag the storyline into a sometimes completely unwatchable status.

Tagged as a period drama, but most of the time turns out to be a too modern feeling. The budget wasted on the male and especially the female costumes, accessories, and make-up must be too much. The funny thing is that the male leading male actor who looks more feminine and prettier than his female leading one, giving us a upside down and reverse feeling all the time.

The constant switched subplots further messed up the storyline, make us, the viewers, very difficult to concentrate and focus on the main story about the two characters. There are also too many clown-like supporting characters in this drama. Females are overly romantic and childish naive, they just give you a overly modern 21st Century feeling, and almost no end of it.

We have to keep clicking the mouse to jump forward to omit or avoid those ridiculous and absolutely unnecessary scene after scene, and it's just so tiresome sometimes, when you need your finger to click the mouse to help the drama going faster to the next watchable scene.

But what makes this drama extremely unbearable is the soundtrack, its terrible messy choices of the inconsistency of the already messy scenarios and plots. It uses so many different types of music and tunes, sometimes classic, sometimes overly modern, or suddenly changes into cartoon-like three or four beats. The randomly patched music is perhaps the real killer of this absurd Korean period drama. It's just too awful. There are also too many moments that actually don't need any soundtrack, but the unnecessary music never stops.

This 2019 K-drama is one of the WORST ones that we have watched and stopped at Episode 10.
