An absolute must see!

I can pretty much watch any show in any language as long as there are subtitles and a good hook to keep me interested. This series was not one I would generally chose but I was bored out of my mind wanting to just laze around and do nothing but watch movies all day. I am so glad I clicked on this series. From the first 10 mins I was laughing and by the 3rd episode I drank the blood and was all in, so to speak. The actors are phenomenal in their own quirky and sometimes cheesy way, but there is a camaraderie that grows and develops as you get into each episode. The banter, the slap stick and snuffing of each others personalities with the goofy expressions is just on point what you would expect from this cultural masterpiece. I am Asian so I relate well with the humor, and it does not fall short of what I would expect. But it also gave me something I did not expect to feel from the first few episodes. I felt the heart-warming friendship and compassion between Jin Isoo and Yoon beginning to emerge. A sense that over the next few episodes, the despise and determination she initially had, to get Jin Isoo removed from the Police force, was slowly dissipating into an inconceivable bond that was truly meant to be their destiny. Jin Isoo's character is impeccably diverse. You watch this guy go from a spoiled rotten brat to a very charismatic, innocent of motherly relationships, generously warm hearted and caring gentleman, brother, son and friend. He is trying to find himself through the eyes of his team mates because he has only ever known the emptiness in his heart from losing his mother at a young age. His family has kept a deep dark secret from him and he has yet to understand why he has these reoccurring dreams that make absolute no sense. Yoon Ji-Won stands to be the only person whom he feels a sense of belonging from, and before you know it, the missing memories of his childhood becomes the mystery that brings them together, and perhaps, eventually as lovers ( I dont know yet what happens because I am only on Episode 8 of 16). I am captivated by the mystery that ensues and the entanglement that each episode explores deeper for Jin Isoo, because they all tie into the soon to come awakening of how his mother had passed and what really happened that night. I love the unfolding of each event whilst getting a new murder mystery in each episode. This is great series and deserves great marks all the way around just because it does what it set out to do - entertain. I did not go into it looking for real life drama, real experiences, actual and true events. I just wanted a movie to take me somewhere. And it did. This is why I can truthfully give it a 10. For me, I got what I came for and that's all that matters. I want the unbelievable stuff, the nonsense that makes me roll my eyes and wish if only, the lifestyle I cannot afford to live but love to see others in it, the humor that I wish I had with my teammates, the uninterrupted day to day murder mystery that unfolds right in front of me because I dont want that in my real life. If a movie, series, producer, director, cast and crew have given me that, then by golly thats what its supposed to be rated on. Pure Entertainment!
