A Surprisingly Charming Rom-Com
8 April 2024
"Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Ulja Jiya" surprised me. I was expecting a standard romantic comedy, but this film turned out to have a unique and fairly engaging story. Sure, the plot requires some suspension of disbelief but if you're willing to go along for the ride, this movie is worth a watch.

Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon deliver solid performances and have good chemistry. It's refreshing to see Kapoor in a lighter role, and his comedic timing is on point. There's a quirky charm to the film, particularly the interactions between Aryan and his unexpected love interest. Some of the supporting cast could have been stronger, but overall the acting doesn't detract from the experience.

The film's humor is a bit hit-and-miss; some jokes land well, while others fall flat. While the film never quite made me laugh out loud, it did manage to keep a smile on my face throughout.

The movie's pacing is decent, and while it doesn't reinvent the genre, I found "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya" an entertaining and refreshingly different take on a romantic comedy. If you're up for something a little offbeat, this one could be a fun watch.
