SIFRA is an excuse for typical Bollywood Nautanki! Very shallow film!
13 April 2024
The film (based on a fascinating Sci-fi idea) is very casually & superficially presented by new directors, Amit Joshi & Aradhana Sah.

That Kirti Shanon (SIFRA) is a robot in complete human form is very, very casually presented! There is NO surprise...NO suspense...NO thrill, at all! Absolutely stupid! Completely boring!

More shocking is that SIFRA and Aryan (Shahid Kapoor) had SAMBHOG! But Aryan had no idea that she was a Robot! Can you believe that?

This is an INSULT TO OUR INTELLIGENCE!

More INSULT follows when Aryan wants to marry SIFRA, a Robot! Shocking! And how can Aryan, a Robotic Engineering, simply did not care about all the practical dangers of such a Marriage? How? Even one of his Engineer friends is also ok with this bizarre marriage! They all were behaving like kids!

For me all this in keeping with typical Indian filmy nautanki! What else? Indian film-makers are incapable of making a convincing, thrilling, non-Nautnaki Sci-fi film! They will introduce unnecessary romance/drama into everything.

The display of Emotions and also bit of Comedy here and there looks totally superficial. They hardly appeal to your deeper senses.

The ending was also abrupt and casual!

It showed SIFRA 2 which is now reformatted and her face reconstructed (because of the injury on her face). She no longer recognises Shahid. And then suddenly Jhanvi Kapoor appears as an intern in the Robotics company and started talking to Shahid. Seeing this, Ashish Verma (Monty), Aryans' colleague childishly said SIFRA 2 is feeling jealous watching Shahid talking to Jhanvi.

Jealous??? Impossible! Because she is reformatted!

The film ends with "To be continued..." message! I wonder if Jhanvi Kapoor herself is another Robot! Let's see! LOL!
