I remember first seeing Tobin Bell as an FBI agent in the movie Mississippi Burning (with Gene Hackman, Willem Dafoe, Frances McDormand), and even though his role was a supporting one, I could sense back then (not that I'm an experienced movie critic) that he could be moving on to bigger and better things. Following Bell's role in Mississippi Burning, he scored a memorable supporting role of Ron in The Old Man, from the fourth season of Seinfeld, which some consider to be the peak of Seinfeld, and of course over a decade later his career exploded as Jigsaw in Saw. I'm enjoying reflecting on Seinfeld after having first watched it back in the early 1990s.
