Susan Saint James and Jane Curtin would go on to do a sitcom together a few years later. Jessica Lange played wife to a veterinarian. They filmed it in Oregon. Saint James has a boyfriend, two kids and an ex husband but little money. Curtin's Elaine is dumped by her husband and financially strapped. They come up with a plan to break and steal the money ball at the mall. There are plenty of familiar faces throughout the film. Cathryn Damon has a role. Garrett Morris makes a cameo. Fred Willard plays the boyfriend. I have to say that the location adds greatly to the film's appeal. They shot entirely on location. The cast is brilliant. The writing is smart and witty too without it being offensive. The women come across as smart. Dabney Coleman plays Elaine's love interest, it's a gem of a movie.
