Peggy Ashroft is the owner of a boat who takes it across the Channel to evacuate troops.She is aided by Gordon Harkerker in the engine room.Also along is Kenneth Griffiths,who doesn't have a line to speak,and Robert Newton as a been gunner.It features some of the few newsreel shots taken of the actual evacuation.
